Univest Grand Prix Fact Sheet


Saturday, September 17 - The Univest Grand Prix
The Univest Grand Prix is an international professional road cycling competition for men. It is one of only seven UCI (Union Cycliste Internationale) races on the United States calendar and the official finish to the 2011 National Racing Calender schedule in North America. The race is open to professional and elite amateur teams. The host community embraces the race and shows their support by housing visiting athletes, welcoming cyclists at area schools to speak about their sport, and holding festivals on both days of racing. Channel 69-News WFMZ-TV and www.wfmz.com will provide live coverage of the race from noon through the finish at 3:00 p.m.

Sunday, September 18 -Univest Grand Prix Doylestown Criterium
The international circuit race for men is held in the heart of Doylestown, the neo-traditional Borough and county seat of Bucks County, Pa. Now in its seventh year, the small-circuit event surrounds the annual Doylestown Arts Festival for a complete day of family entertainment.
